I had this issue on my S24 Ultra in late summer, so I decided to trade it in for the S25 Ultra and it's happening straight out of the box. The phone gets really warm and the battery starts dropping at like... 1% every minute or two. Restarting the phone stops it for a little while but then it keeps doing it. I've included the battery graph, and you can see it just randomly curve down. Does anyone know what could be causing this? My Pixel 8 gets better battery life at this point!

Yeah but you're using 90% with less than 6 hours of screen on time how is that even remotely okay

I'm having very bad battery life too. It's like half the battery life of the S24 Ultra

I can't even get more than 4 hours of on screen time I'm thinking about returning this device and never looking into Samsung ever again

I'm trying to set my phone up from zero instead of transferring from my Pixel. From enabling GPUwatch in Developer Options, the phone seems to use an extra 25-30% of CPU usage despite not doing anything, all apps closed in the app drawer and sitting on the home page. If it starts overheating again I'm doing the same

I feel like that is entirely way too much work for something that should have been addressed pre launch, hopefully tomorrows update will fix it

I imagine it's a bug that'll get patched out soon. From what I can tell, apps are not winding down in the background and it's causing excessive drain.

I think it needs sometime to learn how you use the phone. My s22+ was like that but got better overtime. Updates will also help overtime.
