S25 Ultra YouTube bug

Something is wrong with the background play of the YouTube Premium app. It allows you to send a new video to the background once. If you maximize it and try to send it to the background again, it just stops playing. Sometimes, it does not even work at all.

Same issue to me! I have workaround solution: Press "Next track" button. Then Press "Previous Track" to come back to video you want to view. Then press Home to switch to small Youtube window. After that, press the Headphone button to make Youtube running in background

I keep getting high system resource on my s25 ultra and it wants me to put the app to sleep cuz it's using too much system resources which is weird I don't know why it's doing that using too much battery

I have had YouTube premium for 10 years, I have never had any issues with my previous 5 Galaxy devices, I got the new S25 Ultra and everytime I try to play YouTube on the background with screen off, it works for a few seconds and than stops, it is so annoying had I known I would not upgraded to S25 Ultra I would kept S24 Ultra. This is super annoying and weird as I listen to music and podcasts while I work in the house, drive, and showering I'm so annoyed I tried doing bunch of things people say none has worked so far, anyone please help me out🙏🙏

I'm having an issue with my s25 ultra with YouTube high system resource it keeps overheating my phone I mean not like crazy but you can tell and battery drain like crazy I do background play when I'm working I'm listening stuff and the phone will say put the app to sleep and never did it on other phones only other phone it did it was the s23 ultra but not as bad so I don't know what the **bleep**'s going on I've tried everything other than clearing partition on my phone it's really annoying

I have a problem with my s25 ultra with YouTube it keeps saying high system resources makes me put it to deep sleep it makes my phone pretty hot and it burns my battery like my battery life is horrible I put it deep sleep I just can't have background play in my phone is cold and my battery lasts twice as long so it's kind of weird

I also have the S25 Ultra, and the same issue mentioned with YouTube Background Play.

The only workaround I've found so far is to disable Picture-In-Picture, since I'm not interested in having a floating window whilst I listen to YouTube Videos (I listen to a lot of Ambient Soundscapes).

Turning off Picture-In-Picture eliminates the need to press the headphones icon in the floating window in order to send it to the background because the video will continue to play when you switch away from YouTube without a floating window appearing.

Go to Settings > Apps > YouTube > Picture-in-picture > Not Allowed.

 how is this possible? No I don't want to put it to sleep. How is it a brand new phone and ultra is having difficulties handling YT?!
