Secure folder didn't transfer

Not cool. In smart switch I was specifically asked if I wanted to transfer my secure folder. I said yes. I apply my swipe code, and I move on. 

On my s25u I look for secure folder, unfortunately as ive come to find out, a few hours after factory reseting my s23u. I see there isnt even a secure folder app in the s25u. I go through settings to find it and it's empty. 

I go to try to restore. Nothing to restore. WHY?

This makes no sense. I did every step in smart switch I needed to. Confused.

Help. Samsung. I NEED THAT FOLDER. PLEASE. HELP. PLEASE HELP. PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE....

S25U or S23U ? If didn't backup secure folder the contents are gone.

When backing up your prompted to back up secure folder, if you didn't login to secure folder when backing up the secure folder it's not saved as backup does not have access to the contents

That's what I'm saying, I did login. But it still did not appear.

Although I have posted that I previously had the exact same problem, and posted and received replies DOZENS of times, which all basically informed me that there's no way to transfer Secure Folder data to a new phone, you are the FIRST PERSON to actually make me realize that the secret is to LOGIN TO THE SECURE FOLDER BEFORE WE PERFORM A BACKUP. That's really odd... my Secure Folder data transferred no problem (from locally attached SD card backup).

Did you restore SmartSwitch data from locally attached storage/old phone or no?

Me 2. I backed up my phone yesterday through connected usb flash drive to the phone by Samsung Smart Switch logged in to secure folder all good including secure folder. The backup is encrypted.

I recently just upgraded from an s21 to an s25 Ultra. I had previously backed up my secure folder via Smart Switch before upgrading, and now that I'm able to transfer, the option to do so doesn't show up? Is there a way for me to restore my secure folder data?

If you haven't wiped your S22 yet, you can still do a smartswitch transfer over a cable or wirelessly. You need to decrypt/unlock secure folder on both phones and then open smart switch. From there, you can choose secure folder. It shows up in the can't move over section but it still allows you to check the option to move it over. I hope this helps.

Hello, maybe this will help so if you go under your secure folder and then you go on to your settings, you will find restore from backup. And as long as you have done a backup on one of your old devices. Then you would put your Samsung account in.
Click on restore which it'll restore from your Samsung account. And then you should be able at least get some of your data back that is up in the cloud. I know a couple years ago they stopped doing the backup. At least be able to get something hopefully. I hope this helps
