The Search Bar Is Missing from the Recent Apps Screen

Gentlemen,
The search bar is missing from the recent apps screen. Samsung puts a lot of effort into the development of new features but sometimes removes simple, useful features like this one. Without it, the user must go to the home screen and then to the applications screen to search for an app, which is inefficient.
Please bring back the good old search bar in the recent apps screen.

You can't press and hold on the screen and add it as a widget?

The search (or finder) is a built-in feature. It appears when you swipe up on the Home screen and previously it also appeared on the Recent Apps screen.

Answering your question: it is not possible to add it as a widget, or at least I couldn’t do it.

I am sorry, but I am not entirely sure I understand what you wrote. Good Lock is the name of an app I should install, and the other lines are commands I should run in that app? Is that what you mean?

Either way, what I am asking for is a simple feature that I believe should be provided by One UI itself, as it was until recently.

Yes Goodlock is a app in the Galaxy store once you download it install the homeup module from inside of goodlock and you will see task changer 

Goodlock is a Samsung app that does all of the customization for the phone 

So Install Goodlock 

Open Goodlock and install Homeup 

Click on Homeup 

you will see Task changer 

toggle on Search bar 

Recent app search bar was changed to a Icon in the top corner

Yeah Samsung is adding a lot to the Goodlock app for customization since its easier to update a app instead of pushing system updates all the time to change features

Go to settings/ Home screen/Home screen layout, then choose the radio button "Home and Apps screens". Swipe up from the bottom of your device and see if the bar is there now.

However, the option you suggested (Home and Apps screens) has already been chosen.
