Why can't I play Spotify music directly from my watch speaker? Everytime I try to change the device it's playing on and select watch it takes me to Bluetooth and does nothing from there. I just want to be able to have the option of listening to my music from the watch directly if my phone isn't close by. I was able to do this on my Watch Active 2.
I don't event have the option to select my watch from the Spotify app on my phone.
I have Spotify Premium .

Hi BH123, welcome to the Community, and thank you for reaching out. Thank you for informing us about doing those troubleshooting steps, like factory resetting, uninstalling/reinstalling Spotify, restarting, and resetting your Bluetooth settings. Make sure you are following the steps in this guide to get Spotify to play on your Watch: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00051414/

If you are following the steps, and it still isn't playing, you can send an error report through the Members app: https://www.samsung.com/ae/support/mobile-devices/raising-an-error-report-via-samsung-members-app/

You can also try contacting Spotify to confirm compatibility, since the Active 2 uses Tizen for the operating system, while the Watch 6 uses WearOS.

There is a work around or used to be to get it to work. For some reason all Galaxy Watches since the moved to wear OS have taken the ability to play spotify through the watch, you have to connect to Bluetooth. If you manually add your own mp3 the default music player works fine

Specially I am referring to media apps such as Youtube Music and Spotify. When trying to use either of these apps my Watch6 Classic tries to make me use my earbuds, and will not play media via the watches sleaker under any circumstances. I can however use the default media player that came installed on the watch to play 1 media file, some Horizon garbage that came pre-installed, I assume this means that in order to use the watches speaker for media the music files must be added manually like photos. What is the point of allowing YT Music and Spotify to even be installed at all if they're not allowed to be used? What's next, a microphone that can't receive audio? SHAME on you Samsung... SHAME!

It's a Spotify app issue. It's not coded to play directly to your watch'es speaker but there are work arounds that sometimes work. You might want to ask Spotify to support directly playing through your watch.
Here is one work around you might want to try

So, Spotify and YMusic both just so happen to have the same coding issue? Do me a favor, show me a music app that does play through the speaker but isnt made by Samsung. I admit that I haven't tried them all because I have a Youtube Premium subscription, but I haven't found a single post by anyone anywhere saying that they can play music via an app on their watch speaker without having to upload a .mp3 to it. Can you?
