Galaxy WatchYou can get an extension cable or charge the watch in another location. You can put outlet strip on the side of your nightstand to plug the charger into. I have a multi-port charging station and plug my watch charger into one of the ports. You can use a power bank. There are many options to solve the issue. Surely not all your outlets are low to the ground. Millions of people have no problem charging their watches with the orginal cable and charger.

Galaxy Watch3' is the standard charging cord length. It is also more than standard desk/nightstand height. You do not have to buy more of anything if you choose not to. You choose to charge on your nightstand, which evidently has the outlet at an inconvenient distance. You certainly have more than one outlet in your home, you can simply charge your watch in another location. You are not wearing it while charging, so it really doesn't make a difference where you charge it.

Galaxy WatchThe cable is as long as it needs to be. It's a safety issue. Even phone charger cords that come with the phones are short. If you want longer, you can buy longer. People look for solutions all the time. Not everyone needs 6' cords. Again, MILLIONS of people have no problem charging their watches - they either use the original chargers/cables or find solutions. I don't bend to plug anything into an outlet, so if I don't have a high outlet, I buy multi outlet strips to put them a height I am comfortable with. Frankly, a 3-foot cord is plenty long enough to reach tabletop height from a standard location power outlet. If one has baseboard outlets, they need a different solution. But, unless someone's home has only one outlet and it's located on the baseboard, there should be other outlets where the OP (and you) can charge your devices. I mean, I have my watch charger plugged into my computer - I haven't even bothered to uncoil the cord. That's why there is a tremendous after market for all things charging related.

Galaxy WatchIf you buy aftermarket longer cords or extension cords, the safety onus is on *you*, not the manufacturer. Samsung ships to standard, and that is good enough for 90% of the users. For those it's not good enough for, they go out and buy charging stations, outlet strips, longer cables. Or, THEY JUST CHOOSE ANOTHER SPOT TO CHARGE THEIR DEVICE and deal with it.
