Why can't I send or receive texts when my phone is turned off?? I have a galaxy watch 6 classic and a fold 5. I a cannot send or receive texts messages when my phone is turned off. I have tried Samsung messaging app and Google Messaging app. Either works. I have had older model watches 3, 4 and 5. All LTE through At&t. They all worked fine in this situation. So I don't understand why Samsung would take this option away for for it's latest devices!!! They need to fix this ASAP!!!

Now isn't that interesting? What could be the difference between Metro's and Google Fi's service resulting in the texting issue with LTE capable watches on Google Fi?

Recently I have reinstalled wearables and reset my Galaxy watch 5, I wanted to enable notifications to send to my watch but it requires galaxy watch manager to read notifications, so I tried allowing the app to do so. But as I was trying to find the app to read my notifications, I noticed that the option for Galaxy watch manager was not there. I have tried going through all apps and notifications settings but there was nothing about the permission to read notifications. Now I am unable to get any notifications coming from my phone because it magically disappears. Can anyone help me find a way through this?

You do not have these screens in your phone settings/apps? 1726655640859.jpg1726655640860.jpg1726655640868.jpg

Hello, I believe this program to be the culprit to ruining the watch's ability to receive text messages through the watch. Phone calls get through, it's just text notifications no longer pop up. I would reset the watch and uninstall/reinstall the samsung app on the phone. Turn off updates, sending diagnostics, and etc. since they obviously don't want to fix it. It works for a couple days, but somehow the galaxy watch5 manager app throws a notification claiming that permissions need to be allowed and when you go into that setting everything is allowed.
In conclusion, there was an obvious update to the watch5 manager that breaks this feature of the watch to annoy their customers. Not buying another watch from this company ever again. You think in the next update you can ruin my battery next? Thanks!
In short reinstall everything, turn off updates. Notifications will work for a couple days. Then it breaks. Do it again.
