How do I stop the daily weather notifications?

It starts to appear just recently, and I checked that Weather app also has the cannot-be-disabled notification permission, yet doesn't offer an in-app option to stop sending me those notifications. I seriously wish that I can only receive the notifications I expect since we are not on an Apple walled garden. I'll keep my word that I won't purchase any Samsung device if it is not fixed.

I was glad to see that we are finally allowed to disable the daily target notification from Health even tho that only took them half a year to implement, and now Samsung is forcing another one. I don't understand why Samsung is so obsessed with sending some useless notifications DAILY, is someone pointing them with a gun that they must cause the users some trouble????? Now I'm really missing Tizen watches.

There are other people bothered:

I don't know which weather app you are using, but I was able to just turn off notifications from the native weather app. Perhaps it was because I am using a different weather app. The very first thing I did when I got my phone was turn off weather notifications, as I did not want duplicate notifications for every weather event.

I'm talking about the "Weather" app made by Samsung and pre-installed on my watch, obviously that has some privilege to get immunity with permission management

Sorry, didn't see you were referring to the watch (still sleepy). In any case, in the Wear app, if you go to watch settings/notifications then select app notificatiovs, you will be able to deselect weather from sending notifications to your watch. Even though it appears I never disabled it, I never received one single notification from it (perhaps because I have the notifications disabled on the phone.

This seems to disable the notifications from the Weather app on the phone? The notifications I received are directly sent by the app on the watch, since I've disabled the notifications of the Weather app on my phone way earlier. And I cannot do the same to the Watch app due to the screenshot I shared above.

All I know is that I've never received a single notification from the weather app on my watch. Unless this is new in OneUI 6.0, which my watch did not get yet.

I do think that, as far as weather is concerned, its one control for the phone sn, as I do have two watch companion app, as I do show two different Sansung Health apps in the app notifications for the watch (one for the phone app and one for the watch app) snd I disabled getting notifications from the watch app, because I was already getting the notifications from the phone app and didnt need duplicates. Also, you have nothing to lose by turning off in the wear app settings.

Obviously it is not controlled by the phone app as I have disabled the notifications from the phone app on the first day, and yes my watch is running One UI 6.

I agree that we don't need duplicate weather notifications on phone and watch but clearly Samsung doesn't.

Just disable it in the wear app, as shown and see if that helps.  If it doesn't you lose nothing. Just because the watch has a companion app does not mean it cannot be controlled by the phone's app. Also, the settings in the wear app to control which apps can send your watch notifications also applies to any app installed on the watch.

It doesn't work though... Why cannot you trust that I HAVE DISABLED THE NOTIFICATIONS FROM THE PHONE APP? We are not even running the same OS version.

I can accept what you say about disabling it on the phone, and I am aware we are not running the same OS version,  but you did not state you also disabled it in the wear app. if you disallow it in the wear app to send the notification to the watch, the notifications should stop. If they do not stop, then there was a change in the app with the new version of the OS.

The notification allowances in the wear app apply to apps installed both on the phone AND the watch.  You will see, if you go down the list you may have two copies of an app or the app will state "blocked on phone", or "works with companion app".  If the weather app in your list does not say "blocked on phone", and is turned on, then you need to turn it off, as clearly it is referring to the watch app.  If the weather app does not appear on your list at all, then that is a change for the new OS.

You are the one bothered by the notification, you are the one seeking advice, If it doesn't apply to you, or you don't like the advice, ignore it.  I don't see anyone else responding.  Put in feedback to Samsung through the support tab in the members app.

I've said my piece, no need to continue responding.  Just sit and wait for someone else who may be able to guide you better, it does not matter to me.
