Galaxy WatchI have a Galaxy Watch4 and I have tried to find the setting to switch off a very annoying configuration. When I get any notification, when I lift my wrist to see the notification, the screen blacks out the notification (it is very vaguely in the background, but unreadable), and the screen is changed to a very small digital time at the very top of the screen.
How can I disable this, as it makes notifications useless - I can't see the notification, and I can't see the time (as it is very small). For half a second, before I wake up my watch, I can see the notification from the always-on screen, but then it is blacked out and covered with a small clock readout.
How do I change this?

Galaxy WatchSupplying a screen shot is always helpful. If you are using AOD, you will get a flash notification that just tells you there's a notification, you do not get the whole notification. You have to wake your watch to see your watch face, and then slide the screen toward the right to read the notification. I do not use the AOD, as I see no point in wasting the battery. I do get a notification dot on the side of my watch face when there is a notification and I swipe right to read it, then I either delete it or tap it to read the whole notification or show it on my phone, as longer notifications do not show the whole thing due to the screen limitations of the watch.

Galaxy WatchHello, Welcome to the Community. We know how frustrating it is to not be able to see your notifications.
Do you have the Always on Display set to Always?
Is the Raise to Wake feature turned on?
Have you checked the screen timeout settings? Watch Settings>Display>Screen timeout
