I have had WiFi on Bluetooth ect every combination you can think. And yes with only lte it over heats while looking or struggling with the signal . In to cool mode it goes. If u put another function on Bluetooth ect it gets hotter quicker . So looks like software fault . Unless 3 faulty watches. Galaxy WatchI can certainly understand your frustration with the watch overheating. Here is an article with some factors that can affect the temperature of the watch. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00076952/
Have you tried performing a reset on the watch? https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00084702/
Also check to see if the software is up to date. If the watch is still overheating and not charging, then it would be recommended to have the watch evaluated by a certified technician. You could also contact your place of purchase to see what options they may have available. You can use the following link below to request service. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/
or by contacting customer service at 1-800-726-7864.
