You'll need a newer phone to support it.

The Watch 6 supports Android 10, but the newest watch requires more up-to-date software. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00082502/

Yeah, pretty silly, works on my wife's s21, almost the same hardware, almost the same android version. Don't think i can count on it being supported long term.
Sleep results are pretty off still for insomnia, heart rate starts kicking in 10 mins after starting a workout.
Probably still have to return it and get something that works with Samsungs recent phones i.e notes.

Samsung wants to force you to buy a new phone for greed reasons solely 😕
Can't trust them to support their products.
I might try finding a ROM that's newer, but I know you also have to install something or it'll complain it's not a Samsung rom (because they abandoned the phone), and still not let you connect.
Would be nice if another company could offer a competing product and not actively discourage using their still good devices.
