I hope samsung listens to users that many want and are looking for a wearable nfc reader. We want to be able to automate our home with our watches. To be able to turn on/off devices (or other automations) with a wave of our watches, over any nfc tag on the wall would be awesome.

I recently saw a post advertising pay as a feature, but its not anything new.
As a big galaxy watch user please add this feature

If you turn the NFC on in the quick panel, there's no reason you can't do what you are asking. NFC is NFC, it is not exclusive to Samsung pay. Its just that most people keep it turned off (and/or it times out for security) and Samsung pay automatically turns it on when paying. You can turn it on/off any time

The nfc on watches are an output signal. Not reader (input) so sure you can pay, you can set up an ID output tag with any text or info you want to share. Though there is no compatibility to make it a reader. Getting it to read nfc tags would be a game changer with smart homes
