Q80t + a sound bar + Xbox series X

So I just ordered a Q80t and I have my Xbox on preorder. I want to get a soundbar. I'm kinda confused with how they hook up. I want to be able to take advantage of the HDMI 2.1 connection. Can someone please explain how these things hook up?

depending on the Soundbar you choose its normally through Bluetooth. then everything else connects to it and the Soundbar becomes a central hub

some Soundbars have the HDMI port in the back though for sound in direction

This is where I'm confused. The soundbar would have to have a HDMI 2.1 connection.

Samsungs 290W is a good one for the price. has 2.1 and EARC the rest if needed

So let me know if I'm understanding this correctly. I can hook my xbox up from the Xbox to the tv with hdmi. Then hook the soundbar up in the earc port and sound from the Xbox will just come out?

yeah should travel both ways. head over to Reddit I think theres a bunch of people trying out different configurations over there that could probably help you better
