Home TheaterSince the update, the soundbar is unresponsive and can't be reset.
Seems like quite a few people with the issue

Home TheaterI think the main issue is just bad hardware design from Samsungāsomething that might have slipped under the radar in past generations but is now catching up. With this new, more āaggressive/demandingā firmware, the flaw got exposed. And so far, weāre the ones paying the price.

Home TheaterThey required me to send it in to a shop in New Jersey and I had to pay $42 to pack it up. Expect to get reimbursed but we will see, still waiting for it to arrive at the shop.

Home TheaterFellow Texan here. As far as I know, USA does not have in home repair like they have in places like the U.K. I am also trying to get Samsung to pay for the packaging at UPS before I ship. They said they were going to give me a new label and ship a box to my house. They said I should receive the email in 2hours. They quickly closed the chat; luckily I screen grabbed the conversation.2hours came and went and nothing from them. I would get in the habit of capturing all interaction(s) with Samsung.

Home TheaterI have been unable to obtain any assistance from Samsung. First call agent muted themselves and pretended they couldn't hear. Second rep hung up 15+ minutes into the call. Third rep pointed me to a web page that errored out and asked me to call for support. Fourth rep couldn't provide any assistance, claimed to have no idea about the issue.

Home TheaterAs a worldwide well-established entrepreneur, after 37 pages of complains, 181127 views at its official forum, neither a single official statement is issued , nor any solution is provided! How ridiculous!

Home TheaterPretty **bleep** ridiculous that a forced update that I didnāt even apply rendered my flagship $2,000 system completely useless. I donāt have time to deal with shipping, etc right now, got a ton of other things going on and just want to be able to use my system the little down time I do have. I have been a big Samsung fan for years until now.

Home TheaterHi guys,,,so, my situation is a bit different. I have bought a q990d about a week ago from Amazon. So far I didn't open or install it because I was really busy with work.
Reading all the comments here made me hesitant and disappointed.
I'm wondering what should I do.
Keep it and don't update it, or return it (I'm still within Amazon return timeframe)
What would you do guys?
I really wanted this system, because recently sold my stereo amp+florstanding speakers+sub to replace it with this system. Realised that we watch more movies than listen to music. And have a small daughter which is running around touching grabbing everything in the way, so a soundbar system would make more sense and more safe for her and make the wife happier.
But reading these comments made me really think about what should I do
Any reply appreciated,,,
From the Uk
