I plug my disc player into HDMI 1 of my Element TV

On my TV, I switch to HDMI 1

I am presented with the home screen of the Disc player.

But, the screen is stretched wider than my tv.

If I manage to select the "settings" icon, the various settings selections are off the screen on the left.

So, I can't really "see" the names of the various setting selections.

Also, along the bottom of the screen, I can "see" parts of icons and text but not everything.

I was wondering how I might change things so that I might be able to see the entire settings selections on my tv.

I set my element tv ratio to various values, but that doesn't seem to fix this issue,

I'm really new to this sort of thing so suggestions (in easy to understand words) would be GREATLY appreciated.

Resolved.

I went into my tv (Element model ELFW4017BF) settings and chose to reset everything back to default.

Instantly, the Blu-ray player setup screen displayed correctly.
