4 door flex refrigerator water filter

Need to know why the water filter is so hard to replace. It should be a simple task but it's difficult to turn the filter to the unlock position. HELP

I always use a slip joint pliers to turn the filter--both in and out.  They do not leave enough of a hand grip to turn it properly. Grab, push & turn, works like a charm and no grief.

FWIW, the filter is hard to place and remove because of the pressure seal.
