My Dacor dishwasher racks have been rusted through at least 6 different spots now. When I contacted Dacor (dacor.care@sea.samsung.com) a year ago, case # 72042, they told me I can purchase new racks. It is hard to imagine paying $300 for each rack and replacing them, I might as well throw out this dishwasher and buy a new one.
I had no such issue with cheaper Kitchenaid, Whirpool or Frigidaire dishwashers. The only reason I purchased Dacor was the kitchen reno. I wish I kept my old Whirpool dishwasher.
Can anyone tell me how I can file a warranty claim to replace these rusty racks. My machine is less than 5 years old.
In addition, my blood work shows my iron levels have increased significantly in the last 2 years. I don't think these rusty racks are healthy for me. I am worried about the health consequences. Is the rust leaching into our food via utensils and plates washed in this dishwasher?
