Rinse aid dispenser

I have a Samsung dishwasher that is about six months old. When I fill the rinse aid, I barely put any rinse aid in it and it starts leaking out the base of the part that holds the rinse aid and detergent. I am wondering if there is something wrong with this part, or if maybe I’m doing something wrong? I’ve never seen a rinse aid dispenser quite like this.

Your dishwasher has the same dispenser as ours. Did you open the door? It flips toward the washer.

After adding the rinse aid, snap the little door shut.
