I have a 4 door french door Samsung fridge. A few weeks ago the lights on the water dispenser selector stopped lighting up, and then not allowing me to cycle between water/ice/crushed when touched. I can manually select from inside the fridge, but not from the dispenser itself. I have verified that the child lock is not on.

Hi there, Thanks so much for posting about this. I can definitely understand the frustration of not being able to operate your dispenser panel anymore. Since you've already checked the child lock, our next suggestion would be to power cycle the refrigerator. This will clear any minor glitches in the control panel, and hopefully restore full functionality. On most models, this will mean unplugging the refrigerator or turning power off at the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then restoring power. On Family Hub models, there is a switch for the panel that you should use instead, located at the inside top of the top-right door. Push open the small panel to find the switch inside. After turning the refrigerator back on again, give it time to boot up before trying the panel again.

Once these steps are completed, if the panel is still not responding, the refrigerator will require service. There are a few options here we can take based on your warranty status.
If you’re in the one-year manufacturer’s warranty, please gather together the full model and serial number of your unit, and have ready your name, street address, 2 phone numbers (Best contact, alternative number), email, and place of purchase.
