We purchased a RF24R7201Sr/AA refrigerator 6/29/19 and the ice maker has been making loud humming noise for past 12 months approximately every hour or two. Will stop temporarily when filling a cup of ice or opening the fridge door. We had service out here last year for humming noise and was told it was the evaporator in the back of the fridge and was going to cost $400 to repair. We took off the evaporator cover and there was no ice build up. The problem still persists and appears to be coming from ice maker. I’m really dissatisfied with how soon we started having issues. Is there a recall or class action suit for these units? How do we get fixed? Samsung should back their products. Any help appreciated

Kitchen and Family HubWhile we certainly stand behind our products, we offer the full one-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase to cover the cost of any repairs that may be needed. If a device falls outside of this warranty period then the cost of repair would then fall on the owner. We understand it is very disappointing for any manufactured product to fail, whether in-or-out of warranty. Samsung believes in building quality products and makes every effort to meet all customer expectations. However, over time, it is possible for a manufactured product to require service or repair. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience in this matter. In the meantime, give this link a shot:
