The water and ice cube dispenser started having small black specs in the water and ice.   I recently replaced the ice maker cap  for the Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RF28JBEDBSR/AA.    There was a significant amount of mold in the inside of the ice dispenser and under the cap.   See attached photos .   Curious if anyone has experienced this issue.

Hi there! I can definitely understand your concern with finding mold in your ice maker cap. Mold is caused by high humidity or moisture in the air. Because the ice maker is typically filled with water/ice, it needs to be cleaned regularly to prevent things like mold and mildew. I'm providing a link below to our guide on the best cleaning practices for our refrigerators.
