Kitchen and Family HubHi there, I can definitely understand the need to get your fridge out of demo mode, and I'm happy to help! Taking the fridge out of Demo Mode should be an easy process, as outlined in our guide below. But there are a few things that could interfere.
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00048861/
First, you'll need to verify that the control panel is not locked. This could be labelled as a Child Lock feature or a Control Panel Lock. If you see an icon that looks like a lock lit up on your screen, check your manual for steps on disengaging the lock.
Many models require you to press and hold multiple buttons together at the same time. For these models, if you press any of these buttons even a second before the rest, the fridge will only register that first button, and not the others required to change demo mode.
Lastly, is your fridge showing any other error codes or unusual icons? Though rare, it is possible there may be a defect with the control panel. If this is the case, we would generally recommend service. However, since you just purchased the refrigerator, you may want to check with your retailer about their exchange options.
