I have read the instruction manual so many times now and I still can't figure it out. Is there a way to turn the wi-fi off on my fridge?

Thanks for bringing this inquiry to our attention. You cannot directly turn off the Wi-Fi on this French Door Refrigerator, through the refrigerator's settings. However, you can prevent it from connecting to Wi-Fi by not completing the SmartThings setup process.

Keep in mind that if you are not connected to Wi-Fi Wi-Fi being activated, you will have no bearing on your device or environment.
It appears that disabling Wi-Fi on Samsung refrigerators can vary by model, and it's not always a straightforward process. Here's a breakdown of the information I found:
* Software vs. Hardware:
* Some sources indicate that certain Samsung refrigerator models might not have a simple "Wi-Fi off" button in their menu.
* In some cases, the Wi-Fi functionality is tied to the SmartThings app setup. If you don't complete the setup, the Wi-Fi might remain inactive.
* There are instances of people who have resorted to hardware methods, such as disconnecting the Wi-Fi module inside the refrigerator, but this is highly discouraged unless you have experience with appliance repair.
* User Experiences:
* Online forums and communities reveal that different users have found various methods, often involving holding down specific buttons on the control panel for extended periods. However, these methods can vary significantly.
* It appears that in some cases, you must hold the button down past the "AP" notification, until an "Ar" notification is displayed.
* Samsung's Stance:
* Samsung's support responses sometimes suggest that completely disabling Wi-Fi might not be an available option, and that avoiding the SmartThings setup is the primary way to prevent its use.
* Recommendations:
* Consult the User Manual: The most reliable information will be in your refrigerator's user manual.
* Contact Samsung Support: If you're unsure, contacting Samsung customer support directly is recommended. They can provide specific instructions for your RF32CG54 model.

In summary, while there's no universally applicable "Wi-Fi off" button, you might find success by consulting your manual or contacting Samsung support.
