So I have the s85d and I was thinking of upgrading to the Samsung s90d because they are on sale now. Every review is saying they nerfed the brightness and contrast with the 1201 update and the 1301 didn’t fix it. I’m not feeling confident that they won’t keep downgrading the quality of the picture more. Does anyone have any issues with I’m finding????

I have had my 77inch s90d for about 3 months. Not sure how bright your looking for, but I have no issues with the brightness of the tv with the software upgrade. Brightness is a personal preference as with all aspects. I have filmmaker mode with bt.2020 and all enhancements turned off including lowering brightness to 40. Movie mode is set with bells and whistles turned on for brighter room use. I'd say if you want alot of brightness, get a top LED tv. Brightness is less of an issue imo with modern day tvs.
