Just bought a Samsung S95D and the TV  does not reliably turn on through HDMI CEC ... I've tried using an Apple TV and a Playstation 5, both of which are set to turn the TV on through HDMI CEC and have the appropriate cables to do so (i.e. both of these devices turned my previous Samsung Q90T on without any issues prior to this TV).

This seems to be an issue  when the TV is off for more than an hour ... if the TV was just recently turned off (e.g. in the past hour), the Apple TV and the Playstation 5 are both able to turn the TV on. Anything more than an hour, the TV does not turn on successfully through these two devices

Just straight IP, I was looking at adding the API but haven’t added it yet. Are you using the API? If so I might not bother with it as mine is working fine without it.

I'm using IP but still have the same behavior. Can you confirm you can wake the TV up from "deep" sleep, meaning after ~4 hours or more?

Can you tell me more about your HA setup? What entities and functions are you using?

Thank you!

Yes, that's correct. I can turn it on from deep sleep. I never used to be able to turn it on if it had been left for more than a couple of hours, or in the morning after it had been off all night.

I'm using Home Assistant Green and the installed addon's I have related to the TV are:
Samsung Smart TV (the HA add on)
SamsungTV Smart (from HACS)
Sky Q (from HACS)

However, I also have an Aeotec v3 SmartThings hub that I have integrated into Home Assistant (I had SmartThings before I had Home Assistant, and it was much easier to just add the hub to HA than move all my devices individually to HA). My TV is also picked up via SmartThings and shown in HA, so this could help my setup, although I don't use that particular entity in my automation.

Due to the multiple entities, my TV shows a couple of times in the Device drop-down list when creating the automation, so if it's the same for you, try the different devices as some will be referred to as media player, etc.
