I was watching TV then it turned off and on by itself a few times. Screen went black when it was on but it was still playing sounds from the show I was watching. Now the red light sensor is off and TV won't go back on.

Hey, I had the same issue with my Samsung Smart TV before. Unplugging and plugging it back in didn't do the trick. But I found a cool forced reset function on the smart remote.

Here's what you gotta do:
1. Point the remote at the TV.
2. Press and hold the power button on the remote for about 5 to 8 seconds. You'll see a red light flashing on the TV.
3. If it works, you'll see "Samsung Smart TV" appear on the screen.
4. Once you see that, let go of the power button, and the TV should restart normally.

Give it a try and let me know if it works for you!
