LED and OLED TVsHello! This started a couple of days ago. I first noticed it while playing a game on my PS5, but the only thing that happened was the screen kind of shuddered up and down. I thought maybe it was the game so I tuned the PS5 off and on again and the issue stopped. The next day I noticed it did the same thing while using my Chromecast and additionally there was a faint white line near the top of the screen that ran the width of the screen. Yesterday (Monday) when I got home from work, the shuddering got worse. It was more rapid and there were some other weird glitches on the screen. Then it completely powered down and turned itself back on. After about 10 seconds of a normal picture it would go through that cycle again. The only thing I could do to stop it was to unplug the TV.
What is going on with this TV? Is this something I can fix, or is it just totally dead?

LED and OLED TVsThanks for the reply. The TV does not stay powered on long enough for me to actually get to any settings screen so I don't think I'll be able to do a factory reset. I also do not have a one connect box.

LED and OLED TVsI don't think so. Nothing has changed with its positioning recently. It's mounted on the wall and has plenty of airflow.

LED and OLED TVsIt's definitely not new. I bought it at the end of 2018 so the warranty is expired. The TV will not stay powered on long enough for me to update the firmware. It stays on for about 10-15 seconds before it completely powers off.

LED and OLED TVsHere is a generalized idea of what's happening with your Samsung Television.
It's unlikely that the issue you're experiencing with your Samsung Television can be resolved by performing the procedural troubleshooting steps. Usually there are a number of them. However, it sounds unlikely that they will resolve your issue.
As far as the issue you are experiencing from what symptoms you do mention. It sounds like there's a problem with the power board side of your Television. That's not to say that it's just the power supply board or just one issue. The issue you are experiencing is the internal system that protects the Television from further damage.
It very well could be that there are LED Strips that have gone bad. The internal Power Supply Expects an expected uptake voltage to the LED's. The LED's are supposed to consume that expected power. When it senses that the LED's aren't consuming the power they should be. It will cause the Television to shut off.
I hope that I have given you an idea as to where to look. I don't work for Samsung nor can my advice be taken as being for Samsung Corporation or any of it's Affiliates. Depending on the age of the Television and how much you want to pay? You could have it repaired or fix it yourself. My personal opinion.
