LED and OLED TVsOk, so I have been dealing with this for months and have found no solution. My tv, soundbar and rear speakers are all Samsung (models below). I watch tv through a Chromecast dongle using a very high quality HDMI cable. My issue: I want to have my soundbar to play through HDMI/e-Arc, as from what I have read that is the best experience. I have the soundbar directly connected to the tv through the e-Arc port. The problem is that after a couple of weeks of seamless connection, the tv will just revert to "TV Speaker" as the sound output. I have to then unplug the soundbar and disconnect the HDMI cable, and hope it reconnects. If it does, the situation does not last.
Is this a general Samsung issue? Is there something I can do to help this? Is e-Arc not the best method (is Q-Symphony better?)? I purposely bought all Samsung devices to make this issue irrelevant (my old Vizio soundbar did not connect to this TV well at all).
Thanks for any advice or help.
My equipment:
Samsung HW-Q800B soundbar
Samsung QN90B TV
Samsung 9500S rear speakers

LED and OLED TVs@dougschoemer I've never experienced this with my TV and Soundbar.
"Is e-Arc not the best method (is Q-Symphony better?)?"
These are not directly related. My Soundbar is connected via eArc and Q-Symphony is enabled. Q-Symphony is a setting/service that you can enable.

LED and OLED TVsThank you. I should be clearer. If e-Arc is working I have that set up. When e-Arc disables, it shows as connecting via Wi-Fi. So I guess I should have asked if e-Arc is better than W-Fi.

LED and OLED TVsThanks for replying. Yes, I bought a new high-end HDMI cable a few weeks back.
