LED and OLED TVsI am having an issue with my S90DD and a universal remote and a cable STB remote. I need the cable STB remote to control the TV volume.
I think the new QN55S90DDFXZA is blocking the setup of these remotes and not allowing the TV function to work on the remotes.
I have tried many universal remote Samsung codes and Samsung cable STB codes.
I tried the universal remote and Cable STB remote and found that both remotes work to control the volume with a Samsung UN60JS7000F and also the universal will work the functions of the TV with any of the three remote manufacturer supplied setup codes.
Both of these remotes do work and control the UN60JS Samsung TV. My problem is these remotes are not working with the Samsung S90DD.
The Samsung remote works just fine with the S90DD but has this remote has limited use for the cable STB.
Anyone able to connect a universal remote or cable STB to work the TV functions with the S90?
Is there a special setting in the S90 to allow the use of a non-Samsung brand universal remote?
What code worked?

LED and OLED TVsHave performed everything you have suggested with no success. Bottom line is this response from Samsung tech = " S90DD is a latest 2024 model TV and it works only with Bluetooth remote controls. "
Sadly IR remotes are not an option.
Now my proble is that some Bluetooth remotes are able to connect to "Classic Bluetooth" devices while others only connect to Bluetooth LE devices. Some devices can connect to both.
Bluetooth remote Sofabaton Model U2 supports Bluetooth LE devices only and does not support classic Bluetooth devices.
Next search is going to be if the S90DD is a Classic Bluetooth or Bluetooth LE device.
Any help in that area is appreciated.

LED and OLED TVsThat is the setup I am seeking with the S90DD. Control of volume/mute/power.
But the S90DD will not communicate with the remotes (like worked with these remotes on the past on four other Samsung TVs).
My new universal remote works on a 2022 Samsung TV with Samsung codes in the basement. My older Cable STB remote previously worked on a Samsung TV that died, and also works on the 2022 Samsung TV - with Samsung codes - in the basement. Not so with the new Samsung TV S90DD upstairs as I can't control the TV functions with any remote other than the Samsung issued remote (but this remote does not provide for all the button functions on the Cable STB remote).
Per Samsung the S90DD TV is Bluetooth and IR.
The IR works - as my new universal remote in Cable mode (and the old Cable STB remote) can communicate with the TV but not function properly.
At the top of the screen, when I push the sound button on either remote - I do see a black vertical box for volume control with white bars that go left and right. This when I push the sound button on either the new universal remote or the older Cable STB remote.
But the result is sound does not change on S90DD TV - no volume/mute/power function. The black box with the white bars at top of screen is not the Samsung volume icon. The Samsung issued remote creates a left side vertical icon number set to show the change the volume (not a black box of white bars).
I need the universal remote to control more functions on the TV (like it should). I need the Cable STB remote to communicate with the S90DD TV to handle at minimum the volume/mute/power (like it did on Samsung TV that died and like it now does on a Samsung TV in the basement and two other prior Samsung TVs).
The mystery is why the new S90DD will not fully communicate via IR with these two remotes. What is in the S90DD TV that is preventing this TV sound control function of the remotes. A function that works with every other Samsung TV that I have owned (S90DD is my fifth Samsung TV). It isn't the remotes - they worked with every other Samsung TV. Something changed with the S90DD.
Am I missing a setting? Ideas appreciated.

LED and OLED TVsI redid this setup and always on the 12th try - Samsung remote works with STB. Spectrum is the icon for the HDMI 1 port.
All set for the Samsung remote to do a few of the Cable STB remote's work. But not all - I am working to have the CABLE STB remote to work the a couple of the TV functions.

LED and OLED TVsArris DCX3520e-M Charter/Spectrum Madison Wisconsin. This Cable STB has worked with four prior Samsung TV (and also the remotes for this STB). Remotes on the Universal remote 1060BC@/1060BC3.
No problem with running the S90DD on the cable input HDMI1 with these remotes. S90DD TV does not respond to these remotes.

LED and OLED TVsI have the Charter OCAP 4 device remote control with the ARRIS set top box. Manufacturered by Universal Electronics. I tried this setup several times on several STB remotes, but this setup does not work. Since the cable STB remotes are synced to the STB, it just turns the cable channel to number six, even when I push TV and have the cable box off.
