Just got mine in a couple days ago. Got it all setup. Before I start this I have a very good custom computer. Every time I'm playing a game and I want to change the display or the resolution the monitor turns Black Screen and goes to the connect a device to the display port and starts to countdown to shut off. When I exit a game it does the same thing. Sometimes unplugging the cord from the back of the computer will fix it but half the time the screen stays black " and I still hear what's going on when black screen" I have to hit the switch and reboot the computer. I have been seeing a lot of this online with complains. Some say its the display cord "switch to a hdmi 2.1", some say turn off gsync, some say the recent firmware is making it do this. Hopefully samsung figures this out soon because i really like the monitor when it works.
I wish Samsung would add an option to manually adjust the delay before the screen goes into sleep. I don't have the G9, but my Neo G7 is so eager to get to sleep asap, that I can't even reboot my PC without it being stuck in the black screen. Allowing to change this setting from the 3 seconds it counts down to 10, or maybe even 30, would likely solve a lot of issues. It's my monitor, and my power, and if I want my monitor to just remain on with no signal coming from DP, it should be my call.
