When I purchased this monitor the Samsung store clearly said it offered 3 years of warranty. When I went to check my registered products it is now showing 1 year. This monitor is now missing from the store and any link from my purchase email will redirect to the G85SD monitor which is very similar model and offers 3 years of warranty.
This was one of the biggest detterent of purchasing this monitor but Samsung eventually extended the warranty to 3 years. You can even look this up and you will find post from the likes of places like Reddit that will confirm this. Now Samsung has quietly taken it away from the buyers and this is practically a scam.
The product is replaced by a different model Samsung can make anything up and say it only offers 1 year. If I knew this would be the case I would have bought something else as there are many other companies offering this same monitor panel with multiple years of warranty.
This is essentially a scam.
I am trying to dispute this from the product registration page but I am going to assume nothing will change.

Never saw a monitor with more than a one year warranty. If something is going to happen to a monitor due to a factory defect, it will happen during the first year. Anything after that is usually a power surge or operator misuse. However, if you ever buy a product with a warranty, always preserve a copy of the warranty and terms of sale in the event you actually need to avail yourself of the warranty. Some longer term warranties are special, limited time purchase offers and not standard for the item.

I find most warranties pretty useless anyway, as you usually have to pay to ship it off for repair or replacement, most only warranty parts but not labor, and by the time you finish paying for all that, it's easier and cheaper to just buy a replacement.

Literally just look at the listing for G85SD. It still says 3 years. You think shipping a $600 monitor will cost more than buying a replacement????

The terms of the warranty are what they are at the time of your purchse for the exact monitor you purchased. Offers can be there one day and gone the next and then come back. You have to preserve that information at time of sale for proof, your purchase receipt should also state that, unless you are the type that discards receipt.

I already stated the warranty clearly offered 3 years at the product page which is not unusual for an OLED monitor. Are blaming me for not making a screenshot of the product link? Should I have expected them to take down the product from the store? Also the "receipt" does not state warranty information, not on the shipping paper and not on the order confirmation. Stop trying to gaslight and put the blame on me. You are ridiculous.

Yes, I expected a normal person would preserve everything related to their purchase. But, you did not preseve the information as proof. You are sol.

I can certainly understand how frustrating that is and am happy to provide some insight. Based on the warranty statement for this product, it is a 1-year warranty from date of purchase.  If you purchased from Samsung.com directly, you will need to reach out to our E-Commerce department to get further assistance for your warranty issue. However, sometimes other retailers will have special warranties that are specific to their company and those warranties don't show in our system as they are offered by third party companies. If you purchased it via a different retailer, you will need to reach out to them directly to make sure your warranty is still intact.

*You can also check your user manual to see if the warranty statement in that is different that what you believed you saw when purchasing the product.

The Samsung online store (which the product is unlisted already) clearly stated it was 3 years when I purchased it. Every OLED monitor in the Samsung store online currently says 3 years yet you're still telling me it's 1 year standard which is not the case.
