Monitors and Memory

I bought the monitor over one month ago. I have been experiencing the intermittent black screen issue, where it will blank out occasionally while I am using it at 4k 240hz. It is similar to the other discussion post regarding this monitor and the intermittent black screen issue. I am now torn on what to do. I bought the monitor through Best Buy and got the 4-year warranty and replacement that can be purchased separately. I also got a promotional offer that gives a $300 gift card. That being said, is this something I should be waiting for a software update for... or should I get an RMA from either Best Buy or Samsung and see if they will send another one/ refund me?

One caveat is that I don't want to be dealing with this over and over again with new monitors having issues even if I get it replaced. I want a monitor that is OLED 4k 240hz that I can enjoy and not have black screens a few times per hour.

Any help on the black screen issue would be greatly appreciated, even though the other person who posted the same issue didn't seem to have much luck.

Hello! Thank you for reaching out! I would recommend making sure that your monitor is up-to-date if you have not already. I would also make sure that your GPU drivers are updated also. After that I would make sure that this is occurring on both HDMI and DP. Also, would make sure that the cables you are using are either HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4 as those are the specs of the monitor. If none of these helps the last option would be to turn of G-sync to see if this still occurs.

The last option would be a return or service. Depending on where this was purchased you will have a few options.

- If your unit was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service set up.
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators or you can call in directly at 1-800- 726-7864 with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, you can use this link below to find a service center in your area.
