How to connect Viewfiinty S9 to Xbox One?

I bought a Mini-display (Monitor) to HDMI (Xbox1) cable to try and connect my console but the monitor won't display an image. The monitor recognises that something is connected but won't display the Xbox start screen. Any ideas? Do I need to try a USB-C to HDMI?

The S9 is a poor choice for connection to an Xbox as they do not share a like kind of signal port.

The native resolution of the S9 is 5k while the Xbox is 4k.

A 4k monitor with an HDMI input is an excellent choice for the Xbox.
