Monitors and MemoryMy Samsung Odyssey G9 monitor will not connect with my windows laptop. Using the HDMI port.
An apple computer will connect with the monitor instantly via the HDMI cable and my windows laptop can also connect to other external monitors via hdmi.
However, when I connect the windows laptop via hdmi to the Odyssey G9 monitor, nothing is displayed on the monitor. My laptop does recognise a 2nd monitor is present and I am able to adjust some display settings, extend display, resolution etc. but still nothing shows on the Odyssey monitor. It stays mostly black and occasionally an message pops up No Signal HDMI.

Monitors and MemoryHello! Thank you for reaching out. I understand how this can be frustrating with not being able to use your monitor. Just want to make sure have you tried a different HDMI. After that depending then the length of the cable you might want to flip the HDMI cord around. I know that on my 100ft HDMI cable there's a tag that tells you which direction it goes for inputs and outputs.
After that, I would recommend trying a different external device such as a game console or another pc if possible.
If it is still occurring after that this may require service. Depending on your warranty you may have a couple of options.
- If your device was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service processed.
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators or you can call in directly at 1-800- 726-7864 with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, for depot type products (Soundbars, Home Theater Systems, tablets, ect.) that require to be shipped we recommend you speak with our depot team for pricing and to have the service set up: 1-310-669-4334.
