Monitors and MemoryI have laptop connected to samsung viewfinity s9 display by thunderbolt 4 cable.
I have an external storage connected to display by USB-C cable.
Laptop can see external disk unless I enter display's menu. When I enter - it disconnects. As soon as I exit menu - external storage reconnects.
I tried MacBook Air M2 and Thinkpad T480 (win) - the same issue.
I tryed to use SSD with AFPS and HDD for Win (with something like FAT or NFPS) - the same issue
That makes me think that the problem is on Samsung's side.
Could anyone advise what else can I try?

Monitors and MemoryHello! Thank you for reaching out! You can play media and other certain types of content through the monitor when the storage device connected. From the user manual you will not be able to access it through the laptop from the monitor. It can only be played through the monitor itself. I would recommend looking through your user manual if you have any other questions it can be found here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/?model=N0060965&modelCode=LS27C900PANXZA

Monitors and MemoryHello, thank you for trying to help me.
I could not find direct statement in manual that PC or Mac can access USB storage connected to samsung S9 display.
The reality is that both Mac and PC can. Mine as well (unless I enter display's menu). It is actually one of the key features of the display which is shown in different reviews on youtube (I even saw some speed measurements when storage connected directly to laptop or via display).
So it would be great if someone who use Samsung S9 monitor with laptop and external storage can share its own experience.
