I just got a Note 20 Ultra, and I notice the pen has a clicky button that you press to take the pen out of the case. Does that button actually register in the software at all, or is it literally just there to give you a way to grip it to remove it?

All the "air action" stuff involves the button on the side.

@etkonwgno The clicker on the top is just to facilitate you getting the S Pen in and out of the phone. It has no other functionality.

Not only does lock the S Pen in your device, it is a fidget clicker to help you relieve stress.
