I have a very old Samsung TV:  LN40B64.  I am trying to upgrade the firmware USB.  I download the upgrade file, put in on my exFAT32 USB, unzip it and then go to my TV to do a software upgrade by USB.  It constantly tells me that "no USB device found".  What am I doing wrong?

Yes, anything 32gb and below should be FAT32

I have a 64GB USB and the only formatting choices are exFAT and NTFS. Does it need FAT32 format?  If so, I'll have to get a 32GB USB.

Last time I tried to update my TV via USB. You had to put it in a specific USB port or it would not detect it.
