How do you turn off the auto-detect HDMI feature? Sometimes my Apple TV comes on and then the TV automatically turns on as well but I don't want the TV to do so. How do you turn off this feature?
I signed in to express my support for an option to disable the HDMI automatic switching. I currently own a 75KS9000 TV and the picture on it is great, however, it is extremely annoying to be playing a game on PS4 then having the input switch when my PC wakes to do an update. Or, when powering on the TV, it automatically switches to the Samsung Home Theatre that i pipe the ARC through. Please add an option to toggle the HDMI auto-switching "functionality".
Samsung please provide an option to turn this OFF. It is a really annoying 'feature'.
Exact same thing is happening to me on the KS9500 (Aus version) with the Nintendo Switch. No issue with what the feature does but not allowing users to select if they want this to happen or not is a gross oversight.
I've had so many issues with the KS9500 (e.g. Media server randomly disconnects all the time) that this will probably be the last Samsung TV I buy to be honest.
Please add my name to the list of people wanting a way to toggle this feature off.
I understand that it's a well-intentioned convenience feature, but if the attached devices don't utilize it properly, it makes using our very expensive new HDTV a hassle, as we recently discovered after adding a Nintendo Switch to our household.
Samsung should really good look at a book called The Design of Everyday Things; if you take away too much control, people will not use your products.
and here i thought it was my dumbness... ks9000 55" here, same problem bit ONLY on xbox one amd cbox 360. even with anynet off they still keep waling up when i select their source. this isn't happening with the playstation 3 or 4... anyone tried to connect ONLY a dolby surround system and vonnect everything to it instead directly to the tv? maybe that could work. that, or the tv will seirch on EVERYTHING connected to the home theater... that's really, really stupid dear samsung

I wish it was simple as that. That was the first place I went. Just FYI this is an example of what is going on.
I have a Xbox One S, a PC, and X1 cable box via HDMI to the TV. Lets say I am playing Xbox then decide to watch cable. If I turn the Xbox off it turns the tv off (this is with Anynet+ turned off) so I turn the TV back on well...it turns the Xbox back on(which I don't need on) at this point I switch the inputs to the HDMI with cable box, which yay now I'm watching cable but the xbox is on and I do not need it on so I turn it off...that in turns turns off the TV again, even though I am not even on the HDMI input with the Xbox.
Mine behaves just as all the other misbehaving ones do, plus it automatically turns on the DirecTV DVR.
Sometimes I want to watch just NetFlix, so I turn only the TV on. Guess what? The DirecTV DVR suddenly turns on by itself, interrupting my NetFlix browsing! What a total failure of a TV! Doesn't Samsung beta test these things? Obviously not! They need to fire all their "yes men" and do true beta testing.
