Projectors & Other TVsHow do you turn off the auto-detect HDMI feature? Sometimes my Apple TV comes on and then the TV automatically turns on as well but I don't want the TV to do so. How do you turn off this feature?
Thanks,
Mark

Projectors & Other TVsYou would need to call our Digital Television department at 1-800-726-7864 and have them remote in so that they can perform the service reset.

Projectors & Other TVsHave you tried replacing the HDMI cables? Does it occur on all ports?

Projectors & Other TVsHi @Anonymous
I have the HDMI auto detect issue with my Onkyo Receiver. TV is UN75JU7100 with software version 1510.3. I believe it’s a 2015?
I notice he toggle version remote codes in this thread say for a 2016/17 TV. I tried the “smart control” option but it didn’t seem to do anything.
thanks,
Travis

Projectors & Other TVsI have a samsung un46eh5000f, with the latest firmware update, which was suffering the same auto switch off syndrome. The tv is several years old, well past warranty, and I found the problem only happened when AppleTV was connected. My issue was definitely related to anynet+ , my TV worked flawlessly without the AppleTV connected. However my TV doesn’t have the option to turn off anynet+.
My solution, which, so far, has worked well, was to buy a cheap $20 (CDN) HDMI hub and insert it between my AppleTV and my TV. This was intended to kill the anynet+ communication and it make the problem go away (at least it did in my case). After 3 days of continuous operation, I’ve not had a single switch-off episode. Previously it would start playing up within 24 hrs.
I figured spending $20 on the hub was significantly easier and cheaper than dealing with a repair or buying a new TV. The cheapest hubs are unlikely to pass anynet+ - so, in this case I would suggest the cheaper, the better. (If the hub has Anynet+ , HDMI-CEC or equivalent anywhere in the spec, it probably won’t work!). Hopefully this will help someone.

Projectors & Other TVsHello, my tv UN65MU630DFXZA 65" does not have that update version (1180), it is only 1151. I have run the update and set it to auto update and have tried manual.
I cannot get my TV to stop switching inputs!!! I am not even turning another device on. The only connected device is a samsung soundbar connected to the HDMI ARC. The input switches to TV (nothing plugged in there!) So I get static for a second and then it asks me to check my inputs.

Projectors & Other TVsI am having the same issue on my UN60D7000. I have a Harman Kardon receiver which has an Apple TV connected to it. I also use Coaxial cable connection directly into my tv for Local Channels and use the Harman Kardon receiver for the sound with this using Aux cables. When I change the input on the TV to TV (Coax) it automatically changes back to HDMI. If I unplug the HDMI cable from the TV, it all works fine. I have to keep AnyConnect+ on to make the sound work from the receiver for the AppleTV and DVD player which are connected into the receiver.
I looked for a software update on the TV but it says there is no update available. It says it is on version 001030. Is there any other way to get the updates needed to fix this? Can Samsung send me the updates via a USB stick?
