Projectors & Other TVsHow do you turn off the auto-detect HDMI feature? Sometimes my Apple TV comes on and then the TV automatically turns on as well but I don't want the TV to do so. How do you turn off this feature?
Thanks,
Mark

Projectors & Other TVsuserSVPJ6X5fP6 yours is actually a completely different issue. If the player is turning on when you go to turn on the TV then the player is picking up the IR signal from the remote. Other than blocking the player's IR sensor you won't have very many options for fixing it.

Projectors & Other TVsWell same here. I have a KS8000 and the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo must send out an HDMI signal randomly even when in sleep mode. So I've been having to unplug the HDMI from the Nintendo Switch and the TV just like everyone else. All we need is an option to turn off the Auto-Switch HDMI feature. How hard can that be Samsung? Are they even working on a fix? I know Nintendo could put out an update as well to hopefully fix the constant sending of the HDMI signal as well. I would just really like the option to turn off the Auto-Switch HDMI anyway. I never liked that feature. Help us Samsung Moderator...you're our only hope! 🙂

Projectors & Other TVsI think these are the same issues:
1) Accidentally knocking the Roku remote on the end table switches source.
2) If the XBox was the last source when it was powered down, turning on the TV powers up the XBox unnecessarily (We've trained ourselves to switch to LiveTV before turning off the XBox, so we're "Smart" too!)
2) I have my PC connected to the Connect One box as well as my receiver. I wanted to play Pandora on the receiver while I worked on the PC, but everytime I switched the receiver, it would override the PC signal. I turned Anywhere off in the tv settings, powered the receiver down, turned it back on and I'm set for now.
It doesn't help that the receiver is "Smart" too, so it's difficult to anticpate what's going to happen and how many remotes it will take to fix it.

Projectors & Other TVsI now have myself trained to work around this. As as everything is turned on and off in the correct sequence there isn't a problem!!
Quite ridiculous, but I honestly feel we won't get a solution to this from Samsung.
I'm a UK owner of a 55"KS9000

We certainly won't get a solution from Samsung (UK) they seem rather proud of the 'feature' and defensive. It doesn't seem to matter what order I turn things on and off, 10 minutes before the PVR is due to record the TV will switch itself over to a blank black screen.
great feature, not

Projectors & Other TVsThat was the reason why I put a HDMI switch between the PVR and the TV.
Let's all sent the bill for that unnessesary switch to Samsung! A kind of money back action.

Indeed, I am awaiting delivery of my switch. Ridiculous that we need to buy more hardware to defeat this 'improvement' to our lives. I cannot think who would have requested such a feature

Projectors & Other TVsWill be interesting to see if this 'feature' is included in the new QLED TV's.
