How do you turn off the auto-detect HDMI feature? Sometimes my Apple TV comes on and then the TV automatically turns on as well but I don't want the TV to do so. How do you turn off this feature?

Thanks,

Mark

In my case, I don't want and can't waste everyday my time to reply to this thread.  i think many, subscribed to this thread. We receive reply by mail, we read it, and every time it's a frustration because we don't read that samsung has released a new firmware resolving our problem.

If i replied, it's just to say to samsung that i'm not satisfied nor i can forgot that fault, simply because i use the tv every day and every week my family are complaining about it also.how can we forgot.

Can someone try putting a sliver of electrical tape on pin 19 of the offending HDMI port(s)?

That appears to be the HDMI hotplug detection pin. I don't have any electrical tape handy currently but will try it when I an.

I haven't tried that but I have tried a CEC-free HDMI cable that is supposed to be without pin 19, and guess what, that doesn't make an ounce of difference, it still switches.

I think somebody already tried that early on in this thread and it didn't work.

That's right, see my posts on page 3 of this thread.

Yea, this  is so annoying... And like, sometimes it just switches the same input on and off every 5 seconds.

This is causing me issues on my KU6300 as well. Annoying when I'm watching a movie on HDMI 1, that a different input (the Nintendo Switch that's off/sleeping on HDMI 3) keeps triggering it and switching it over somehow. Please give us the option to turn this off!

Can you tell us which switch you bought? What isn't working is good to know.

I don't own a N.Switch, but I solved all DVD and Humax problems with: VS481B

Remember to also switch off CEC (Anynet+ as Samsung calls it) in the menu.

Okay, that seems logical, that is a manual switch which is mentioned a few times in this thread.
Only switches which have video electronics, maintains video output signal without input.
