Projectors & Other TVsI have a UN46F6400AFXZA that I purchased around 2013. I don't think the firmware has ever been updated even though it was set to auto update. I recently had some issues with the smart hub and I reset the TV back to the factory defaults. The apps that are currently available are really limited and even though I used to have Netflix on here, its no longer available. I need to update the software so I can get updated apps. I tried updating the software using wifi and got the 800 resource error. I tried connecting an ethernet cable and same thing. I changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS) and that didn't work. I downloaded the update files to a USB and tried updating that way and it was unable to find any update files. I even tried moving the upgrade.msd file to the root of the USB drive. The input was on TV and not HDMI when I tried updating. I haven't called support yet because I have a feeling that I'll probably sit on hold for an hour before talking to someone and they will also charge me for support. If support is my only option, it might be easier to just buy a Chromecast or Firestick. Anyone have any other ways to fix the update issue?

Projectors & Other TVs@quogue66 According to the user manual, you have to contact Remote support and have them update the firmware.

Projectors & Other TVsThanks, @LongHiker . I called support and they connected to my TV via remote assistance and attempted to upgrade the TV. I was told that I have the most recent software, 2240. This software was released in Feb 2023. This update removes Netflix app from your smart TV as it's no longer compatible. I really wish I was told about that. She told me that my options are to buy a new TV or get a Firestick. I guess I'll set my other TVs to not auto update and start looking at Sony for TVs.

Projectors & Other TVs@quogue66 Unfortunately over time some app providers no longer support older devices. Often it is a matter of security or the new app offers features that the old devices just can't support.
