Black pixels while using motion smoothing

It’s really hard to capture, but you can see the screen tears in the blue lightsaber. Anytime I use motion smoothing above 2, I get screen tears in any image that has a flash effect. Explosions and such. I have tried every setting and only turning off motion smoothing works.

The issue is motion smoothing itself, which is nothing more than generated fake frames between real frames. Breaks down in fast action scenes on any device that has it. Keep it off and you're good.
