Any truth in Planned Obsolescence?

Has anybody else heard about planned Obsolescence? Is there any truth to it? Are these phone manufacturers issuing bad security updates?

I have never seen or experienced anything close to this issue , I have seen people install unsafe applications from websites other than Samsung or Google which can cause major problems with the device

Is there a way to tell if it's a faulty install or not how would you protect yourself from that

The Google Play store has the play protection feature that allows you to scan your device for any malicious software or you can scan your phone with the Samsung device care system, I highly recommend you keep your applications updated and install any software updates from Samsung and security updates from Google ,having updated software is key to prevent any type of Faulty install

Security vulnerabilities are Patched in the application updates and be extremely careful about installing any Apk files from a unknown source
