Solved: Apps installed after adding a new SIM card - Samsung Community

Just had a round of apps being installed without my permission!

Tiktok and about 10 games were loaded onto my phone while I was trying to transfer carriers. No updates, no offers, no restarting the phone at this point. I just popped the new SIM in and within about 10 minutes I'm getting toast messages saying apps are being installed and going into my games app.

@samsung STOP! Last 2 times this happened I was not making any carrier/system changes.

That would be your new carrier adding the apps not Samsung you put there sim in and it auto downloads apps that your carrier selected

Go to your settings and search mobile services and click disable

I don't see that. But wouldn't that disable my data/voice?

It wouldn't harm your phone at all, often : data carriers will pre-install the Mobile Services app

Yes like @GaryB82 said, it is your Carrier. Not samsung.

Guess I should be happy the garbage they install can be deleted.
