Calendar not syncing with Contacts

Hi,

The Samsung calendar app does not sync with Contacts.

I use both google contacts and calendar. I have read the solution in https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Samsung-Apps-and-Services/Birthdays-from-Contacts-not-on-my-Cale... and verified that the settings are correct, and both contacts and calendars are synced.

However, I got lots of birthday calendar entries from deleted contacts, but none from new contacts. Appointments from google calendar are displayed correctly.

I see this on a Galaxy S10 /Android 12 and a Galaxy Tab S8 with Android 14

Anything else I can try?

When you are entering these new contacts are you saving them to Phone or one of the accounts displayed on the calendar? You can see where the contact is going to be stored by checking the menu in upper left.
