Constant notification in Samsung music settings

I am using a galaxy note 20 ultra (not sure if that's relevant) and for the past week at least ive noticed the notification indicator within the app settings was there but when you follow the alerts there ends up being nothing

that's generally what the screen before the one i showed looks like but i don't see the notification categories line on yours

Yeah, I don't see the third option. You are on the right page. If uninstalled and installed again, it might clear it away. This seems like a big step. I'm not sure what you have in the app. But just a suggestion. Don't do anything drastic. šŸ˜† Other than the dot, it should have just cleared away when clicked on. I'm out of answers. Hope that doesn't leave you with troubled spirits. Be well, šŸ™šŸ˜Š

Yeah, they just broke something in the last update with the update checking. Give it till the next update and it'll go away

Hello userBevOZJsJIz, Welcome to the community. We understand the frustration of the notification icon (orange dot). 

When you follow the dot to that last page, have you tried tapping the Terms and Conditions box? We have found sometimes if this gets updated there is a notification dot added in the app.

i have,  I've also opened the source licenses and scrolled all the way to the bottom in both just to be sure but the icon persists.

One other thing you can try would be to clear the app cache. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10001372/ (Do not clear data, or it will erase anything you've uploaded to the app.)

Sadly, if that does not clear the dot, you will need for the app to update again as the others have mentioned. You can submit feedback directly to Samsung. From the Samsung Music app, tap the three dots and select Settings. Scroll to the bottom and select Contact Us. Tap the Send Feedback icon.
