How do I clear past events from the Samsung Calendar.?

How can I clear past events from the calendar?

In the Calendar, click on an event to open it. Click the Delete button.

Thanks, but I want to clear, for example, all events prior to June 1, 2020.

Tap the Month displayed at the top left side. A menu will slide up, select the year and month you want and follow Longhiker's instructions.

Tap the 3 horizontal bars at the top left corner. A menu will open with an option to search. Select  it will display a list of every event in chronological order. It's much faster because we can long press on the events and delete them. You should see a bar at the top and one at the bottom. Tap the one at the top to move backwards thru the years.
