Private Share was recently merged with Quick Share so things work a little differently now.
Under the file or whatever that you want to share, tap the Quick Share icon.
Turn on Private Share from the three-dots menu in the upper right corner. You might also want to check out the settings page here to make sure everything is set up the way you want it.
The expiration time for the item that you're sharing defaults to two days. Tap on it if you want to change that.
Turn on Bluetooth if you want to share with someone nearby.
If you want to Private Share with someone who isn't nearby, tap where it says "view contacts" at the bottom and select the contact you want to share with. This person will receive a text message with a link in it. I'm not sure whether you can share with non Galaxy phones this way since I haven't actually used this feature yet.
