Lost the ability to compose an email

I have lost my ability to compose an email and don't know where to go in email settings to correct it.

I used the chat option and solved my issue. My permission for storage needed to be changed to "give access" to storage.

Where is the "Chat Option?"   I cannot Compose and it tells me "Tap SETTINGS, then allow the following permissions: Files and media."  Well, there is no option for Files and media.

Are you certain you're logged in?
And to be clear, you're referring to the Samsung Email app?
